We are a concerned group of local citizens.  We're worried about our community, our
    families, our water and our future.  We're worried that without action now, irreversible
    damage will be done to our town.  In the short term, it will seem positive - a relaxation of
    taxes in the town of Franklin, but in the long term, it will be a blight on Franklin and
    surrounding towns.  It will be an area, once a beautiful woodland and riverside that will
    be unusable for MANY, MANY generations.  

    It is our opinion that this proposed site is wrong, if for no other reason than it will be
    located on top of a Class A (drinkable as is) moderate to high-yield aquifer.  The Global
    Community has recognized the need for clean water.  In many parts of the world, large
    corporations are buying up water resources.  It is arrogant and short-sighted to put a
    toxic landfill over such a increasingly valuable resource.

    We're working together to not only stop this ash dump from going into Franklin, but to
    educate ourselves and others on the alternatives to creating ash dumps anywhere in
    the world.
