Proposed site where
woodlands and wildlife sit on
the aquifer in Eastern Conn.
Franklin, Connecticut
A beautiful town in the heart of eastern Connecticut,
sitting on a pristine aquifer, bordering the
Shetucket river.
- Is it a David and Goliath Story?
- Should the dictum that "The
Solution to Pollution is Dilution"
be revisited?

CRRA (Connecticut Resource and Recovery Authority)
Presented their proposal to the Franklin and area
residents:
We understand that CRRA wants to purchase 500 acres
and possibly excavate 350 acres along the Shetucket
River and dump millions of tons of toxic ash from landfill
incineration from both in and out of state into this
excavation, a pile which will potentially be 14 stories high.
